I am a 22 year old female. I thought I was the only one in my age catogory. I had the fusion done september 20th 2002. It has been a little over a month and my original pain has returned. I was in a car accident which resulted in the tearing of the disc located at the L5-S1. That was 2 years ago. This surgery was suppost to help. A week after the surgery I was walking up to a mile a day. My doctors couldnt believe my rapid recovery. I will not have to have physical therapy. If anyone answers you on how to help the pain please let me know. I got a family myslef and I cant take care of them.
