I also had a spinal fusion as L3, L4, and L5 in sept of 2002. Immediately! after surgery i had hypersensitivity in my left thigh. It almost feels dull too the touch, but hyper-sensitive to the gentle touch of a finger. very strange. dr. say's he never heard of such a thing. but i also learned that bursitis is caused from trauma to the soft surrounding tissue. i am apt to believe that it was caused by my surgery. something to think about. physical rehab probably would help.
