I just had the spinal cord stimulator implanted.Totally impressed. I have been on crtches for three years.Had emergency back surgery for Cauda Eqina Sydrome. Ended up with foot drop and then developed RSD in left foot. The pain has been extreme and the Rsd spread. I have tried every Treatment possible. I deal with others problems in my back also. But since the implant I look forward to my day. I have been able to enjoy so much now. The first six weeks you are limited because they want the leads in your back to fuse in place well. But after that one can do just about do anything. I will say, where I have Rsd,the stimulator has helped me greatly. Can finally put a shoe on that foot. Each day get better. Even the foot is warmer.I can say I wished I would have done it sooner,but felt like I was putting a bandaid over a big problem. That is not true. Very pleased and hopefully will be able to return to work. Theres many good sites on-line to learn more about it. Wish you the best.
